2015-2016 New Year's Run At Madison Square Garden Announced: This December, Phish returns to Madison Square Garden in New York for a four-night New Year's Run to ring in 2016. The first show will be on Wednesday, December 30 and run through Saturday, January 2. The band has played thirty-one shows to date at Madison Square Garden since December 1994. As with the last run at Madison Square Garden, the floor at these four shows will be general admission.
An online ticket request period is currently underway at tickets.phish.com and will end Monday, September 28th at Noon ET.
Tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday, October 2nd at Noon EST. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.ticketmaster.com or charge by phone at 866.858.0008. If tickets are still available, they may be purchased at the venue box office beginning Monday, October 14th (Mon-Sat 9am-6pm).

Looks like I will be hitting this one up, pending the winter tour, I would prob do this run and then maybe just like 2-4 dates in the winter instead of hitting up more of winter tour and taking more PTO days.
What makes me a little mad is, they give us 3 weeks 12 days to request these MSG tickets. But give us 8 days to scrounge up 5k dollars for a mexico trip, with no lotto.

More orders will be unfilled than filled. There will be zero issues unloading extras - in fact, I'd bet you needn't look outside this very board to find homes for any extras you end up with.

just checked out phish.com. reg tix are $70 and nye tix are $80. i do believe this will be the most expensive 4 night ticket cost in phish history! followed up a few weeks later by far the most expensive 3 night phish run in history.

i would guess that anything besides nyc and mexico didn't even start to become a thought until after dicks, which means this supposed tour is really in its early stages.
not sure why it seems like such a long shot. it's not like they've never played shows in the months of jan and feb. yes, it's been awhile, but it makes sense to me. everyone saw the 2015 summer love fest. those dudes had so much fun, why not do it again for a few weeks before waiting all the way until summer 2016. plus they left out some key northeast markets to help build up magnaball this summer. add some northeast cities to chicago and hampton with a couple of routing dates on the way and you have yourself a tour at least as long as fall '14.
^^^Yeah, all of that. Didn't they throw the island tour together while they were finishing recording for Story of the Ghost? Seemed like the band had as much fun this summer as we did-/it wouldn't shock me if they decided to get back on the road soon.

btw, i crushed the phone onsale for these shows. pulled a pair for each show via the phone. i do believe this was the only time i've bought phish tickets over the phone.
Also, Trey's kids are now both in college which could definitely make him inclined to do more touring.

I agree that after this summers success that it would not surprise me if they did break from the norm but the word as of yesterday was that there is nothing scheduled for after Mexico and this is from Trey's management. That said anything can change at any moment and I'll relay anything that I hear. I was definitely told that there is absolutely nothing happening in January after Mexico. February could be a different story and if they are going to be in Nashville recording I could see them running over to Asheville to do a quick 2-3 nighter to warm up or blow off steam.

Saw this and would love to attend this after party!
Kinda wish it was on another night other than NYE, never really feel like hitting up a show AFTER NYE but could def make an exception for snarky puppy.

All tickets are the same price except NYE is $10 more. You could request Floor only or Best Available. People saying they got floors requested floor only and have a hold.

Hotel room plus tickets all four nights... $2299 all in. Includes two t-shirts and two "commemorative items" which I assume will be posters plus a metro card for subway travel between the hotel and msg.
Basically, the hotel is about $400 per night which is about what they are in Manhattan that week anyway... And it's a Westin so it'll be really nice.
Plus west GA floors for all four nights which is sweet.

Flights, floor tickets, and hotels are all purchased! It's official, see you clowns in NYC!!! Only my second NYE show and my first YEMSG experience. One of my favorite things about moving to Houston from OKC is that the amount of direct flight options are crazy. $400 for a round-trip, direct flight on United....
