Ran my first 50k trail race today in 5:50.
Super humid and hot and a deceptively hilly course.
Happy with a sub-6!

good job, Joey!
I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

Seriously awesome aug.
The events in our lives happen in a sequence in time, but in their significance to ourselves they find their own order; the continuous thread of revelation.

Everything is connected, because it's all being created by this one consciousness. And we are tiny reflections of the mind that is creating the universe.

Dysfunction and itemized lists of people's failures are where it's at.

I congratulate you on this insane behavior.

"It's a 106 miles to Chicago. We got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."

Thanks!
The race was in Pennypack Park in Philly.
Absolutely gorgeous park with miles and miles of trail, stream crossings, bridges, climbing and with all types of terrain.
The course description has it listed as a "mostly flat" course.
I'd like to punch that dude in the face 'cause he's a liar.

The distance was fine but like I posted, the heat and humidity got you early on.
Almost a quarter of my field DNF (only ~120 finished) and almost 2/3(!) of the 50 milers dropped out with only 42 finishers.
Fun day trip with the fam (they went out to eat and to a hands-on museum in the city) and a very fun race vibe.

That's insane man, good for you.

I don't even think I could run a mile w/o stopping. I haven't tried for years.
Bring in the dude!
